Kalen DeBoer gave his thoughts about the way Alabama football practiced on the first day of preseason practices on Wednesday.
“Just like most first practices, great energy,” DeBoer said. “Guys were excited to get out there. I can’t remember of any times where you had to coach up the excitement and passion. That was all there. These guys have worked hard. We’re excited about practice one.”
“Always going to be far from perfect, but each side had their moments,” DeBoer said. “Made plays. That’s what you want. I love being the head coach in those times. The assistants, they want every play to be perfect. They win half, they lose half the time. I win all the time because I just choose the side that wins on that play. It’s good having the give and take. I thought that’s what we had.”
