Kirby Smart had high praise for Alabama's freshman wide receiver.
. The freshman wideout from Saraland has made 10 catches for the Crimson Tide so far this season, and has scored touchdowns on four of them.
Williams came to Alabama with unbelievably high expectations. The Crimson Tide has historically been known for its top receiver talent, from Julio Jones to Devonta Smith, but for the past several seasons, has lacked the upper-level talent at the position. “He’s in the same line with the guys they’ve had in the past,” Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said. “Super quick, talented, confident with the ball, great ball skills, great quickness. He’s a track athlete that was elite as a junior, and then he comes out and he’s already performing at a high level.”
With Alabama’s reliance on explosive plays so far this season, the youngster will play a big part Saturday against the top-ranked Bulldogs.
