Members of Los Gatos, Saratoga community criticized Sanderson’s “top-down” style of leadership.
Two years into Bill Sanderson’s tenure as superintendent of the Los Gatos Saratoga Union High School District, a slow-burning tension around his management style has suddenly escalated into some parents and teachers considering calling for his resignation.
“Bill W. Sanderson has served as our superintendent since July 2022, and the board of trustees thanks him for all he has accomplished during this time,” the email reads.“Community input will be vital during this process; more details will be shared in the future as we weigh this important decision,” she said.
Sanderson told this news organization earlier this month that he saw the community members’ complaints as isolated to Saratoga High School, and encouraged them to get involved with the community groups he works with, like the superintendent’s parent advisory committee.
