Churchill High School band students are left with a costly fix after their instruments were soaked during a weekend performance in Waco.
Junior Colin Triggs recalled what happened when the downpour arrived before and during their performance. Amanda Stevenson, band director for Churchill High School, said the equipment was damaged from all the water.She said they spent hours on Sunday inspecting the equipment. As of Monday, they were still using dryers to get the water out.
She said the community has come through, donating enough instruments for the band to continue playing. And it wasn't just San Antonians chipping in.
