Rutgers officials said they will hold the hearings whether the students show up or not. Student conduct cases “proceed regardless of whether students or organizations choose to participate in the process,” university officials said in a statement.
Students for Justice in Palestine-Rutgers New Brunswick did not say Tuesday how many of its members were facing disciplinary hearings. Students who do not participate in the hearings forfeit their right to provide information on their behalf, Rutgers officials said.
