San Antonio's KSAT-TV anchor David Sears finally did the weather, and anchor Mark Austin launched a barbecue social media page, Post Oak Pits & Poles.
As six longtime KSAT-TV personalities prepare to depart the station next week, two anchors are making the most of their final days and looking ahead to the future. The ABC affiliate announced in May that anchors Mark Austin and Ursula Pari , meteorologist Mike Osterhage , anchor-reporter David Sears , and reporters Jessie Degollado and Marilyn Moritz would retire from the station.
'I got to drive a live truck way, way back when, but I never, ever got to stand in front of the green wall and do a weather forecast.' After a two-minute rundown from meteorologist Justin Horne, Sears stepped in front of the camera for Thursday's forecast. As he walked viewers through temperatures and rainfall for the day, he got some encouragement from Horne, who said his weather skills were 'spot on.
