Hundreds gathered to remember NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and brother Matthew Gaudreau at their funeral on Monday.The service was held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Media, Pennsylvania. It began at noon.The funeral was also livestreamed on the Columbus Blue Jackets website.The brothers were fatally struck by a suspected drunk driver while they were riding bicycles Oldmans Township, New Jersey on August 29.
Matthew Gaudreau was married to Madeline Gaudreau, and the two were expecting a child together. A GoFundMe for the wife and child has raised over $645,000.Who is Sean Higgins?The driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Sean Higgins, is facing multiple charges including two counts of vehicular homicide.He allegedly hit the brothers from behind while trying to pass two cars.Higgins is accused of driving under the influence. Officials said he failed a field sobriety test.
