Former President Donald Trump is set to deliver an address to a crowd of voters in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Friday.
The speech is at the Mid-America Center, where Trump is expected to take the stage at 1 p.m. However, programming for the rally is expected to start as early as 11 a.m.The rally comes as the former president seeks a return to the White House in 2024. Trump is considered the front-runner for the Republican nomination, but he is facing a crowded primary field.
Other Republican hopefuls include his former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Sen. Tim Scott , and Gov. Ron DeSantis . Pence and the wife of DeSantis, Casey DeSantis, have both appeared in Iowa recently, which is one of the first states to host a primary. New Hampshire also hosts an early primary.The former president canceled an appearance in the Hawkeye State last month over weather concerns.
