A man from Washington sold hundreds of people fake art over a five-and-a-half-year period.

JUNEAU, Alaska. — Hundreds who were sold authentic Native art in Alaska over a five-and-a-half-year period from April 2016 to December 2021, were duped by a man from Washington State.

He is also required to make a $60,000 donation to the Tlingit and Haida Central Counsel Vocational Program and write a letter of apology to be published in the Ketchikan Daily Newspaper. Rodrigo violated the Indian Arts and Crafts Act. His sentence is by far the longest ever handed down on that charge.
