Walmart announced in October 2023 that it will be closed again on Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 23.
Walmart first closed on Thanksgiving in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 stores closed again. Walmart said it was closing stores “as a thank you to associates for their continued hard work during the pandemic.”
