Some people chose to spend the morning outside, braving the temperatures, to make sure others have a good, hot meal this Christmas.
“At Thanksgiving, it was pouring down rain. Same thing. People came and delivered. People really enjoy doing this. And it really is delivering that meal, but it’s the knock on the door that allows us to check on our clients and make sure they are doing okay, and when its 11 degrees out it is a perfect day for people to come out and do that for us,” Culak.“Didn’t matter. We were coming.
Friday 4,500 meals were delivered, but throughout the year, VNA Meals on Wheels delivers more than 1 million meals.
