Gerard Roane, 27, was arrested May 24 outside a home in Edison.
New Jersey State Police troopers said Friday they arrested a fugitive who was wanted on a murder charge in a shooting death last month in Virginia.“Through various investigative means, detectives determined that Roane was staying at a residence in Edison,” State Police said in a statement.
State Police detectives and members of the United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Task Force-Newark Division arrested Roane outside the home without incident, the statement said. Authorities said the killing occurred May 16 in Richmond, Virginia, but did not provide further details.
