The plaintiffs in the latest lawsuit over the Uvalde school shooting include the father of a slain child and a teacher who was gravely wounded.
Ramos ordered the Daniel Defense rifle online for more than $1,800, investigators have said. He picked it up on May 20, 2022, at Oasis Outback, where a manager asked him how an 18-year-old could afford such an expensive firearm.
Ramos told him he’d saved up for it, according to investigative reports by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The teenager paid a $30 transfer fee. He used the rifle to fire more than 100 rounds inside Robb Elementary, killing 19 fourth graders and two of their teachers in two interconnected classrooms. Reyes was in one of the those classrooms and was shot several times and gravely wounded. He was hospitalized for weeks.Firequest's website was selling"hellfire" trigger devices online for $49.99 as of Thursday.
