New details have emerged in the case of Lisa Jo VanderLinden, a woman who previously pleaded guilty to killing a 2-year-old foster child and
The probation agreement did not include a provision preventing her from being in the custody of children. However, that order was vacated two years later as part of the plea deal, allowing children back into her home after she was sentenced to one year in jail and 14 years of probation. Laurieann Thorpe, Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Utah, although not affiliated with VanderLinden's case, expressed concern.
