The victim was partially asleep when she gave him the cleaning fluid.

A woman pretended to her boyfriend she was giving him medicine when she fed him Drano, leaving him in excruciating pain, police in Utah have said.

“Elle stated that by eternal sleep she meant death. She knew that Drano could kill him and that was her intention. The victim was partially asleep when Elle gave him the Drano. Elle said her boyfriend thought she was giving him his medicine,” Fox News reported. She faces charges of a second-degree felony attempted murder and surreptitious administering of certain substance. Her bail has been set at $100,000. She also has no criminal history in Utah, ABC reported.

Also in February, Amy Murray, 40, from Iberia, Missouri was charged with first-degree murder when she allegedly poisoned her husband with anti-freeze and then set him on fire so she could pursue a relationship with a prison inmate.
