The event, organised by LOL Asia, will showcase Atsuko, who utilises her unique upbringing to embody an artfully offbeat, resilient persona, perfectly reflected in her blunt bangs and bowl haircut. Her debut stand-up special, THE INTRUDER, helmed by Tig Notaro and aired on HBO in December 2022, earned critical acclaim. It was hailed as the"Best Debut Special of 2022" by the New York Times and recognised as one of the"Best Specials of 2022" by Vulture and Variety.
Her unique style and talent has led her to share the screen with renowned actors, including Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, and Laverne Cox in Jonah Hill's dark comedy movie, Outcome.
