Wilson is planning to deliver a resignation letter directly to the White House the official said. Her resignation is not related to any issues at the Pentagon, the official insisted. Wilson has long been skeptical of President Donald Trump's plans for a separate branch of the military devoted to space. Her name had been floated as a possible Secretary of Defense as well.The official said Wilson will be named president of a major university.
