‘Unusual’ California storm expected to bring rain to the Bay Area

Rainfall has been relatively light, but earlier this morning, thunderstorms brewed over coastal waters west of SF and meteorologists recorded at least 150 lightning strikes off the North Bay coast.

The storm system is expected to move eastward over the next 24 hours while the moisture from it — “shower activities,” to weather experts – moves from east to west.
