A University of Alabama student and Sigma Chi fraternity member, Kareem Badawi, was killed in a terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year's Day. Another alumnus, Parker Vidrine, was critically injured. The University of Alabama is offering support to those affected by this tragedy.

I learned today that Kareem Badawi, one of our students at The University of Alabama, was killed in the terrorist attack in New Orleans. I grieve alongside family and friends of Kareem in their heartbreaking loss.
