NEW YORK — A person driving a U-Haul truck is believed to have struck several pedestrians in Brooklyn on Monday, according to multiple reports.
New York City Council Member Justin Brannan said at least six people were believed to have been struck in Brooklyn’s Bay Ridge neighborhood, including two who were in “very bad shape.”Suspect was actually arrested near the BK Battery Tunnel. We think he hit at least 6 people with the truck and 2 are in very bad shape. PLEASE pray for these folks.Authorities did not immediately confirm the number of people hurt or say the extent of their injuries..
Police stopped the truck near a tunnel connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan and took the driver into custody,
