Two firefighters injured in fire at former Valley View Mall
Two firefighters were injured Thursday morning in a two alarm fire at the site of the former Valley View Mall near 635 and Preston in Far North Dallas. The fire started about 4:30 am.
Dallas Fire Rescue says firefighters were trapped,"but they were quickly rescued and removed from the structure." The fire department says one firefighter had burn injuries; the other had a physical injury. The two firefighters were taken to the hospital for evaluation, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
