Two children were rushed to hospital after the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry on a road in the Scottish Highlands.
The 37-year-old male driver of the Peugeot was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries, where their current condition is unknown. Police say the 49-year-old male driver of the lorry also sustained "minor injuries". The wreckage of the grey Peugeot hatchback is almost unrecognisable. Road policing officers closed the road for around nine hours to allow investigations to take place; images shared on social media by motorists showed queues of traffic as vehicles were diverted around the crash site.
