Donald Trump coined a new nickname for Obama's VP during his interview with Tucker Carlson.
“Look, China has been beating us badly for many years,” Trump said. “President Obama did nothing, meaning ‘Obiden.’ I don’t really think I need to say that anymore. They did nothing.”
This is just the latest in a long line of nicknames Trump has given political opponents over the years, and though it could have just a slip of the tongue, it definitely sounds like he meant to say “Obiden.” It could be that Trump was trying to tether Biden to Obama in the eyes of voters, or there’s the possibility he was just giving Obama and Biden a fun celebrity couple nickname, like Bennifer or Brangelina, but that’s doubtful.
Either way, one thing is for sure: Trump will never pass up the opportunity for hyperbole. Speaking of a possible deal between him and President Xi, Trump said, “He wants to make a deal. I want to make a deal. Very big deal. Probably, I guess you’d say the largest deal ever made, of any kind, not only trade.”
