Pro-Trump political consultant alexbruesewitz appears ready to run for RepGallagher's seat if the Wisconson representative decides to run for the Senate.
A person familiar with the matter told the Hill that Bruesewitz's plans are reliant on whether Gallagher will run for reelection or the Senate; he will only vie for the representative's seat if he opts out for a Senate campaign. The consultant grew up a few miles south of the congressional district and has family in the area.A person close to Bruesewitz said he’s taking a strong look at running and the Hill's reporting is accurate.
Gallagher, for his part, doesn't seem to be champing at the bit to run for the Senate against Sen. Tammy Duckworth . He told CNN that he's"not thinking about it at present."
