Trudy’s Tex-Mex announced the closure of its south Austin location, meaning its north Austin location is the only one that remains.
“It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing that Trudy’s South Star will be closing its doors on May 6th,” a Facebook post read. “While bittersweet, this marks a new chapter for Trudy’s Tex-Mex.” “We have looked at multiple options to keep this location open, but the economics and changes in the immediate shopping area unfortunately do not work,” Scott Taylor, CEO of Trudy’s, said. “We want to thank all our loyal fans in South Austin for making Trudy’s a part of their lives over the years, and we invite them to visit our North Star restaurant whenever they can.
The south Austin location was located at 901-C Little Texas Lane. Up north, the restaurant can be found at 8820 Burnet Road.
