Tropical Storm Beryl is gaining strength as it moves quickly westward across the Atlantic Ocean.
This National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration satellite image taken at 3:10am GMT shows tropical storm Beryl, lower center right, as it strengthens over the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
Beryl will continue its fast westward path over the next few days. The storm is expected to reach the Windward Islands, including Barbados, Martinique and St. Lucia, by late Sunday night or Monday.
