Detectives in Bed-Stuy are investigating a triple shooting that left one man dead and two others injured on Monday night.
A 32 year man was fatally shot, a 26 year old man was shot and a 33 year old man was shot in a playground in Bed-Stuy .
According to police, at 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 30, officers from the 79th Precinct and Police Service Area 3 responded to multiple phone calls for the shooting at 456 Dekalb Ave. in the Lafayette Gardens Houses. Upon their arrival, police found three men who had been shot at the location: a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso, a 26-year-old male who sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and shoulder, and 32-year-old Shaquille Davis, who had been shot in the head.
Davis was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The two other men were also taken to the same hospital, where the 26-year-old is in critical condition and the 33-year-old is in stable condition.A triple shooting left a man dead and two others wounded following a shooting near a playground in the Lafayette Garden Houses.No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
“My son just returned home from school when he saw the commotion. He called me saying there were cops, ambulances and a helicopter hovering around very low,” said Terri Smalls, a Brooklyn resident. “We have sticky notes throughout the apartment, we want to create a better life for him, my husband and myself. We want to get away from here. I am filled with heightened anxiety every day because of situations like this.
