Trinity Christian College in south suburban Palos Heights is drastically cutting its annual tuition and adding an emphasis on wellness and preparation for a job as part of initiatives from interim President Aaron Kuecker.
Trinity Christian College interim President Aaron Kuecker speaks at a convocation at the Palos Heights school. Kuecker spearheaded a tuition cut, well-being day and internship network to streamline admission and boost student wellness.
Jeanine Mozie, vice president for enrollment, said students typically didn’t know what they would pay until several months after admission when their financial aid package, including federal and state aid and scholarships, was received. “The amount of scholarships may be smaller but they’re starting with a lower tuition price,” Mozie said. “We’re encouraging students to look at the bottom line price.”The college has already started Trinity Wednesdays, making several classes longer during the week, leaving Wednesdays open for field learning and vocational training.
