Now, Hodges-Tomlinson is an All-American cornerback and the winner of the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back. He’s a key part of the defense that will face Georgia in the“Yeah, man, in football, stars don’t matter at all,” Tomlinson said. “It’s all about developing once you get to college.”
“He’s been a great mentor in my life and a great guy,” Hodges-Tomlinson said. “He continues to make sure I’m consistent, not just about football, but also teaching me how to become a man and understand that at some point in my life, just like now, it’s going to get real.” “With how important the cornerback position is in the [NFL] now, he made a decision that with my feet and everything, cornerback would probably be the best position for me,” Hodges-Tomlinson said.
