Travis' Brianna Bejar looks to continue stellar postseason in last shot at state track meet
Travis senior Brianna Bejar lands a triple jump attempt during the area track and field meet Friday at Paetow High School. Bejar won with a mark of 38 feet, 0.75 inches for her third gold medal of the meet.Travis senior Brianna Bejar is undefeated through two meets of her final high school postseason, winning the 100-meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump at both stops.
“It was a really good race,” Bejar said. “I got out kind of slow, so I had play catch up. But once I got a rhythm into it I did really good and I felt really strong with it.” “There was a little bit of headwind in long jump, so I just did the best I could,” Bejar said. “Triple jump, it wasn’t my best day but it was good enough to get the win and get a good spot for regionals next week.”
She has medaled in the 100 hurdles at every meet so far, including victories at the Stafford Spartan Relays and Cy Springs Panther Invite, the latter with a 14.60.
