Police and paramedics were called to the scene just after 4pm yesterday . It followed a collision between a pedestrian and a black Toyota Alphard car.
A force spokesperson said: "At around 4.05pm, emergency services were called to Liverpool Road, near Pewfall Park, to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a black Toyota Alphard car. The pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. "We are in the early stages of investigating this collision and are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dashcam footage which may assist our ongoing enquiries."
