Heat and humidity climbing this week

This afternoon storms will form over our northern cities. North of The Woodlands there is the possibility of damaging winds, hail and street flooding. South of this line the chance of rain is 20%. In Houston temperatures climb to 92° with a heat index of 100°.Overnight tonight we will see increasing cloud cover and mild temperatures. Overnight lows will only drop to the upper-70s with winds from the south at 10-15mph.Tuesday will be very similar to Monday.

We will have a mix of sun and clouds with warm temperatures and a chance for storms. Highs Tuesday will be in the mid-90s but feeling up to 105.The heat risk is higher as you head west.Temperatures will continue to climb this week. By Wednesday highs will be in the mid-90s but it will feel like 106+. In order to see a heat advisory we need temperatures to be 108 throughout.Thursday a ridge of high pressure building into SE Texas brining dry weather, hotter temperatures and a high humidity.
