Contrary to popular belief, the moon won’t give off a red or pink hue. Instead, it will illuminate the night sky with a warm honey glow.
Tonight, San Antonio ’s night sky will offer some stunning views. The first full moon of the summer, otherwise known as the Strawberry Moon , is set to rise at around 9 p.m., and it’ll be a sweet celestial treat for observers all over the city.

An astronomer explains How to view the Strawberry Moon Express-News meteorologist Anthony Franze said weather conditions for viewing the Strawberry Moon tonight are ripe. 'If you plan on checking out the full moon in South Texas, the forecast is looking good,' Franze said. 'After a partly cloudy evening, skies are expected to start clearing out after 9 p.m. Temps will be nice too, falling into the 70s.
