Dylan Lesko makes second start of 2024 for TinCaps; Griffin Doersching hits first homer of the season
Dylan Lesko allowed a run in three innings in his second start and high Single-A Fort Wayne swept a doubleheader over visiting Lake County on Saturday. The lone run and hit that Lesko allowed in a 4-3 win was off a home run. He walked four and struck out four. Devin Ortiz doubled twice and drove in a run and Tyler Robertson went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Griffin Doersching went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs in a 3-0 win in the second seven-inning game.
Sacramento 8, Chihuahuas 2: RHP Randy Vasquez struck out six but allowed three runs on five hits and three walks in four innings in the start. RHP Jeremiah Estrada struck out three but allowed a run on one hit and one walk. LF Graham Pauley went 1-for-4. 2B Clay Dungan went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, two walks and a run scored.
Missions 4, NW Arkansas 3: LF Connor Hollis went 1-for-4 with a ninth-inning triple that set up scoring the walk-off run on a wild pitch. 1B Nathan Martorella went 1-for-3 with a walk and CF Jakob Marsee went 1-for-4 with a double. RHP Jayvien Sandridge struck out three and allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth in earning the win. RHP Ryan Bergert struck out eight and allowed two runs on four hits in four innings in the start. LHP Jason Blanchard struck out five over 2⅔ scoreless innings.
