A fight at a Times Square nightclub early Sunday morning resulted in two security guards being slashed in the face and a third being punched. The incident occurred at the Circo Restaurant and Nightclub and is currently under investigation by the NYPD.
Two security guards were slashed in the face and a third was punched during a brawl at a Times Square nightclub early Sunday morning, according to police sources. The violent altercation took place shortly after 4:30 a.m. at the Circo Restaurant and Nightclub located on Broadway between West 48th and West 49th streets. Police responded to a 911 call and arrived to find the guards injured from the slashings.
Two security guards, a 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, sustained facial wounds from the slashing attacks. Authorities apprehended a person of interest and transported them to the 18th Precinct stationhouse for questioning. The Circo Restaurant and Nightclub, which opened last year, is a complex that also features a Pizza & Bites eatery, aiming to attract a diverse crowd of diners and partygoers
