Thunder Exercise 25 26 Options On Chet Holmgren Jalen Williams Ousmane Dieng Cason Wallace - RealGM Wiretap
The Oklahoma City Thunder exercised its fourth-year contract options on forward/center Chet Holmgren, forward Ousmane Dieng and guard/forward Jalen Williams and its third-year contract option on guard Cason Wallace.
Holmgren received NBA All-Rookie First Team honors last season and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting after appearing in 82 games and averaging 16.5 points on 53.0% shooting from the field, to go along with 7.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.32 blocks in 29.4 minutes. During the 2023-24 season, Holmgren became the first player in NBA history to register at least 150 assists, 150 blocks and 100 made 3-point field goals in a single season.
Dieng saw action in 72 games over the past two seasons with the Thunder and averaged 4.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 13.0 minutes per game. He was named the 2024 G League Finals MVP after helping lead the Blue to its first ever G League Championship. Williams appeared in 71 games last season with the Thunder and finished second on the team in scoring to go along with 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.13 steals in 31.3 minutes per game. Williams received 2022-23 NBA All-Rookie First Team honors and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting. Williams has also been named to the NBA Rising Stars team each of the last two seasons.
Wallace received NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors last season after appearing in 82 games and averaging 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.6 minutes per game. He shot 49.1% from the field, fifth among rookies, and 41.9% from the three-point line, second among rookies.
