Detectives said the case 'highlights the terrible consequences of carrying a knife'
A violent thug who stabbed a man in the chest during a club brawl has been put behind bars. Tobias Clarke, 35, pulled out a knife during a fight between a group of men and women at a club in Woodview, Cotgrave, at around 11pm on March 26 last year.
Punches were thrown at Clarke before he was spotted on CCTV with a large knife in his hand. Moments later, the victim turned away and could be seen with a patch of blood on his chest.Clarke was then punched to the floor by friends of the victim and left the club. Clarke later returned to the club with another knife and his dog.
After sentencing on January 24, Detective Constable Nathan Wall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This violent incident could easily have had even more serious consequences. It happened in a busy location where other people were simply trying to enjoy a night out.
