A 42-year-old Thomasville man will spend eight years in prison after pleading guilty to distributing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that Dennis Elmo Haskew was sentenced to eight years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of post-release supervision.

Haskew pleaded guilty in January, admitting in federal court he created multiple accounts on the SnapChat social media platform, using those accounts to send images of child sexual abuse to other SnapChat users. Haskew was arrested by the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office in August 2021. The FBI and the Jackson Police Department investigated the case.
