, the forthcoming feature is directed by Wild Child’s filmmaker Nick Moore, who has served as an editor for various hit rom-coms including Notting Hill and Love Actually.The film will center on the two complete strangers, Quinn and Minnie , who share not only the same birthday — which is on New Year’s Day — but the same birth year and birth place: a hospital in London.
“Flung together at a New Year’s Eve party, Minnie and Quinn quickly realize they share a connection — they were born on New Year’s Day of the same year, in the same London hospital, one minute apart,” the synopsis reads. “Minnie grew up convinced that this mysterious Quinn — born first — stole the name her mother planned for her, and with it all her luck, setting her on a path of misfortune. Horrified at the misunderstanding, Quinn is set on making amends.
In addition to Cookson and Laviscount, Bridgerton’s Golda Rosheuvel also joined the cast alongside Doctor Who’s Mandip Gill, Four Weddings and a Funeral’s John Hannah, and Cyrano’s Monica Dolan.Popular K-drama Doona! premiered on Netflix on Friday, October 20, 2023, and it has definitely impressed fans.
