They found DeMarcus Antonio French, 26, with a gunshot wound in his abdomen. French was taken to a hospital, where he died, according to police.
The shooting was spurred by a domestic argument between one man and one woman and no one else was involved, said Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley. Police have identified the suspected shooter and he expects an arrest will be made soon, the mayor said. The fatal shooting was Beech Grove’s first homicide of 2023.
