Then, there’s the suction power. According to Dyson, the Outsize has twice the suction of any other cordless vacuum. And based on how well it works, I’d say it definitely lives up to that claim. One of my major grievances about vacuuming used to be how I’d have to take multiple passes over the same part of the carpet in order to get all of the dirt out. But with the Dyson Outsize, that’s never the case. Just one pass, and any trace of crumbs or tracked-in dirt is gone.
Another reason I’m such a fan of the Dyson Outsize is that it comes with an extra battery and charger. The cordless design is a huge plus , but I tend to be bad about remembering to charge my devices. So the second battery has saved me on numerous occasions. When I go to start cleaning—only to realize that the vacuum is dead—I can just swap out the battery for the other one. Usually at least one of them still has some juice left.
My only complaint is its $800 price point . The Dyson Outsize is one of the brand’s most expensive cleaning machines, so I’m normally a bit hesitant to recommend it to friends and family. But at $150 off thanks to Best Buy’s Black Friday sale, it’s definitely worth considering, whether you’ve got a big house, a messy family or you’re just looking for something to make vacuuming a little less tedious like I was.
