San Francisco is the 10th-best city in the U.S. to raise a family, according to a new study, ranking behind a pair of Bay Area cities and four around the state.
The study ranked 182 cities across the U.S., including the 150 most populated and the two most populated from every state that wasn't already included. WalletHub scored each city across several measures, including family fun, health and safety, education and child care, affordability and socioeconomics.
Of all the cities considered, Fremont has the lowest divorce rate and the third lowest percentage of families below the poverty line. San Francisco tied for first place when it comes to attractions, sharing the title with fellow tourist destinations New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Las Vegas.
