The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter comes to The Regent in Los Angeles Dec. 1, Observatory North Park in San Diego Dec. 16 and Observatory OC in Santa Ana Jan. 14.

As the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Jake Smith, who goes by, began toying with ideas for his eighth studio album, he decided to challenge himself by doing something sonically and lyrically different.

“I never thought country was my thing,” he explained. “I don’t sing about Solo cups and trucks and chicks with jean shorts … I always just write whatever comes to me and it’s always been sort of a genre-less thing.” The White Buffalo, the moniker used by singer-songwriter and guitarist Jake Smith, will headline The Regent Theater in Los Angeles Dec. 1, Observatory North Park in San Diego Dec. 16 and Observatory OC in Santa Ana on Jan. 14, 2023 in support of his latest concept album, “Year of the Dark Horse,” which was released on Snakefarm Records on Nov. 11.
