Premiering on The Hallmark Channel in January 2023, the family drama includes sci-fi elements as it chronicles three generations of women and what happens to their lives when the ability to time travel is introduced.
“We definitely can confirm that we do have to do a time jump, purely because of when we shoot. We left them, obviously, in November of 2024, and we’re going to be shooting in August. So yeah, we do have to, that’s just the nature of our show. We do have to jump. But TBD on how much we do cheat things and stay and pick up right where we left off, you know very similarly to how we started Season 2 and then jumped.
In the Way Home's season 2 finale aired in March, Kat's story found closure, but another twist was unveiled. The finale, "Bring Me to Life," confirms that Colton is also a time traveler. This revelation comes about thanks to a flashback, which shows a young Colton talking to a woman about how it wasn't his time to go into the pond. Another flashback shows an adult Colton watching a younger version of himself.
