Neil Gaiman offers a candid update on The Sandman Part 2 filming, confirming the actors and writers strike is putting a stop to production.
The SAG-AFTRA strike has halted filming for The Sandman part 2, according to creator Neil Gaiman. Based on Gaiman's graphic novel series of the same name, the Netflix show centers on Lord Morpheus, cosmic controller of all dreams, attempts to regain control of his realm after being held prisoner for over a century. After the show's wildly successful first batch of episodes, The Sandman was quickly greenlit for further episodes, with filming kicking off in late June.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT SAG-AFTRA strike is on. Sandman has stopped shooting completely, along with everything else that was squeaking by without writers... I hope that the AMPTP sees reason and gets back to the table with the actors and the writers. I have no reason at this point to think they will see reason.
