Netflix releases the first trailer for The Piano Lesson, a new drama movie starring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, and more.
“A battle is brewing in the Charles Household,” the official synopsis for the movie reads. “At the center stands a prized heirloom piano tearing two siblings apart. On one side, a brother plans to build the family fortune by selling it. On the other, a sister will go to any lengths to hold onto the sole vestige of the family’s heritage. Their uncle tries to mediate, but even he can’t hold back the ghosts of the past.
Malcolm Washington, meanwhile, is making his feature film directorial debut with The Piano Lesson. He co-wrote the script with Virgil Williams, while Jennifer Roth, Constanza Romero Wilson, and Katia Washington serve as executive producers. The Piano Lesson will be released in select theaters in the United States on November 8, 2024.
