Days before Northeast Ohio is expected to get hammered with another blast of snow, cold temperatures and wicked winds, the turnpike unveiled its 2022 winners for a contest that gives names to the vehicles that make our roads safe.
More than 100 snowplow trucks are ready to clear the Turnpike this winter, Ferzan Ahmed, executive director of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, said in a statement.from Oct. 24 to Nov. 20. Turnpike officials selected the top 50 names for a public vote. Nearly 1,100 votes were cast from Nov. 21 to Dec. 2. Each winner will receive a $100 cash gift card.
