The 2025 Ford Raptor T1+ Is Designed To Win the Dakar Rally

With Pikes Peak won, Ford's next goal is a win at the Dakar Rally.

This is an ambitious year for Ford Performance. A new Mustang GT3 racer has already debuted at both Daytona and Le Mans. The brand has also been showing off a road-going Mustang GTD meant to bring that level of performance to the streets. At Pikes Peak, a radical new racer with an F-150 body took the win. Next up is Dakar, where Ford had already announced plans to run a Raptor-badged racer in 2025. This, the Ford Raptor T1+, is the truck that will hunt for the trophy.

0-liter V-8, which sends power to 37-inch tires. Those are mounted to a front and rear independent double-wishbone suspension built in partnership with Fox, boasting three-way adjustable coilovers and four-way adjustable external bypass dampers. The truck also has a 400 mm ground clearance, 350 mm of wheel travel, and an approach angle of over 70 degrees.Reigning Dakar champion Carlos Sainz Sr.
