Behzad Zandieh led the Baha'i community's ceremonies commemorating its annual "Race Unity Day" on June 11, an annual event for this faith group.The Baha’i faith community calls it Race Unity Day. It’s also known as Race Amity Day, and wherever there is a Baha’i community, the day is celebrated on the second Sunday of June, including at Fort Hunter Park in Harrisburg.
Behzad Zandieh readied the sound system to make sure everyone could be heard. Meanwhile members of the Baha’i choir fretted over the melodies they would gift to the event. The religion’s founder Baha’ullah sought to unify the world’s great religions and establish a universal faith. Baha’i faithful have no priesthood or clergy, no rituals in worship, and they seek abolition of racial, class, and religious prejudice on earth..
