“The amount of young girls that have come up to me, especially this last year, and said that I am maybe the reason that they wanted to pursue a career in Texas country, or the reason that they’re in the scene, or that I inspire them — it’s been kind of mind-blowing, because I don't really think of myself as that,” she says.

“Obviously a handful of us have been at it for a long time,” she says. “I told my dad if I do nothing else, if I can maybe be part of the reason that there are more females, then that’s what I consider a successful career.”
